The group permissions within WebStatistica are discussed below:
SWS_USER : As established before, this is a minimum requirement for users to be able to login to WebStatistica. Users will be able to login to WebStatistica and run analysis and reports that they have access to see at the Enterprise level. They can also view Reports that have been published for view.
The ability to see Alarm dashboards will depend on if the user has Dashboard User (or DUSR) at the Enterprise level.
SWS_PORTAL and
SWS_PORTALINTERACTIVE: If a user is a member of these groups they will be licensed as a Knowledge Portal user. Upon accessing the Statistica Server (Server side), these users will be directed to a simplified interface where they can view output pages published to the Portal directory in the Repository Root. The user will see all files that were added to the portal via the the publish button at the bottom of every analysis run in WebStatistica or files uploaded explicitly to the portal. The members of this group will only see everything that was published to the Portal.
Note that membership of these two groups will supersede all other groups other than SWS_ADMIN membership. The portal files are physically stored in C:\WebSTATISTICAPub\RepositoryRoot\Files\Portal of the Statistica Server
SWS_BATCHABLE: Members of this group will be able to schedule analysis and reports in WebStatistica. The members need to be part of SWS_USER in addition to this group.
SWS_DOWNLOADFILES : Members of this group will be able to download files from the server to their local workstation instance.
SWS_UPLOADDATA : Members of this group will be able to upload files from the local workstation instance to the application server.
SWS_UPLOADSCRIPTS : Members of this group will be able to Create Run/Schedule Scripts on the server.
SWS_SDMS_USERS: SDMS (Statistica Document Management System) Users get added from the SDMS administration tool into this group. It is not recommended to manually add users to this group.
SWS_ADMIN : Members of this group who will be administrate sessions, jobs and scheduled task of all users in addition to functionality of all groups above. They will also be able to set system options such as SMTP (
Simple Mail Transfer Protocol ) server information, set pooling sizes, set logging options etc.
