Description

The Concurrent License Manager (CLM) is an application installed with a network (CNET, BNET, and Enterprise Editions) installation of Statistica.  It is installed automatically on the server installation (Part 1) with the 'Typical' installation option and optionally on the workstation/client installations with the 'Custom' option, if selected (Part 2).

Environment

Windows operating systems only.

Resolution

The Concurrent License Manager is installed on the server with the license manager service by default and, optionally, can be installed on workstations/clients.

 

SERVER

The Concurrent License Manager is used on the server to check what features are available, which are checked out, and which user has checked out which features.  Other uses include:

  • Installing a new license file
  • Update the license file with a feature code or Access Code (see knowledge base article about Access Codes What is a Statistica Access Code and how to request one?.)
  • Restart the Statistica License Manager service (after installing a new license file)
  • Registering Statistica (network installs only)
  • Checking the current license information

WORKSTATION

The Concurrent License Manager is used on workstations only to check what features are available, which are checked out, which user has checked out which features, and when the license expires:
