The config.lic is a special license file found on every installation of Statistica. It typically only contains 3 features. In the case of concurrent licensing, the config.lic exists on the server and on each workstation. It also exists on Single User or Desktop installations. In all cases it resides in the Statistica install folder (or application folder). Because these 3 features are always on the local machine, and are not controlled by a license server, these two features are always available in Statistica and are not checked out or counted.
Two of the features in the config.lic are always the same. They are ASUP and BGAX. The ASUP feature is the graphics feature. The BGAX feature is for By Groups Analysis.
The third feature is defines the program type. The options here are as follows...
STAT - Single User
CONN - Concurrent
SEWS - Enterprise
Here is an example of the config.lic from a Single User machine.
FEATURE ASUP sta_flxm 7.1 permanent uncounted HOSTID=ANY TS_OK SIGN=446B6F469XXX
FEATURE BGAX sta_flxm 7.1 permanent uncounted HOSTID=ANY TS_OK SIGN=7CD9C4F60XXX
FEATURE STAT sta_flxm 7.1 permanent uncounted HOSTID=ANY TS_OK SIGN=1810C6DE1XXX
This file is necessary and must exists for the Statistica UI to launch successfully. The file is signed so it cannot be successfully modified.
