What to do when BusinessEvenets Montoring and Managment (BEMM) reports error of "JAR manifest missing" for cep-instrumentation.jar

Description

When using the 64-bit java.extended.properties in mm-tools.tra with BEMM, the following error will be reported.
  

Error occurred during initialization of VM
agent library failed to init: instrument
Error opening zip file or JAR manifest missing : /apps/tibco/be/5.3/lib/cep-instrumentation.jar
This is because java.extended.properties for 64 bit incorrectly references cep-instrumentation.jar. 

The error can happen with any 5.x version of BE.

Environment

Any 5.x version of BE.

Resolution

This is a defect in the mm-tools.tra and will be removed in a future release. Remove the entry -javaagent:%BE_HOME%/lib/cep-instrumentation.jar from the 64-bit java.extended.properties in mm-tools.tra .
