Issue/Introduction

Why dblogging category for Action logs database is not listed in TIBCO Spotfire Server Configuration Tool

Resolution

The 'dblogging' category is a special category that logs life cycle events for the action log database logger and cannot be turned off like other categories. It is used to give an indication in the logs that the user action logger is working. The 'dblogging' statements will be logged in the user action log database whether the category is present in the configured enabled categories or not, which is why it is not present in the list of categories in the TIBCO Spotfire Server Configuration Tool, since the 'dblogging ' category is mandatory.

The 'dblogging' statements will get auto-deleted as per the value provided in 'Pruning Period (hrs)'. Default pruning period is 48 hours.
