Why do users see a wrong Web Player interface when accessing 'My Account' page?

Description

Spotfire Web Player's "My account" page provides user information and an option to change the password, when Spotfire is configured for Basic Database Authentication.

If accessing "My account" routes the users to a wrong or another Web Player URL, follow the steps provided in the resolution section.

Resolution

Make sure to setup the correct public address in Spotfire server configuration.  You can setup the public address with the help of the set-public-address CLI command.

Eg: config  set-public-address -u  "https://serveralias:port".

Ensure to restart the Spotfire Server and Spotfire Node Manager Service Services after running this command. 

Note: This value can also be changed in the Spotfire Server Configuration Tool.
