Description
There could be scenarios where a report using a data table from a network shared drive will be accessible from the Spotfire Analyst that is installed on the Node Manager machine. However, it will not be accessible from the Web Player even though the Network shared data access configuration is set on the Web Player.
Environment
All supported environments
Resolution
This could be due to the fact that Spotfire Web Player will always need a UNC path in order to access the files located on a network drive. The local path will not be accessible through the Web player.
The reason why it would be working on the Node Manager Server Analyst Client could be due to any of the two reasons. - The data table source network shared drive is on the local Node Manager server - The network shared drive is mapped on the Node Manager server, which makes the local path accessible from the Node Manager machine.
