Description
When browsing the TDV HTTP/S REST web service URL from the browser it may return the data much slower than TDV HTTP REST URL. This article explains a possible workaround to resolve the issue.
Issue/Introduction
Why is the TIBCO Data Virtualization HTTPS REST URL returning data slower than HTTP REST URL?
Environment
All supported operating systems.
Resolution
1. Open the TDV Studio.
2. Navigate to "Administration" in the top toolbar of the TDV Studio.
3. Browse to "Configuration--> Server--> Communications--> Generate SSL Diagnostics(On Server Restart)". Change the above configuration value to FALSE, if it is set to 'TRUE'.
4. Apply the changes and click on OK.
5. Restart the TDV server services after making the configuration change.
The configuration change will be reflected only after the TDV server service restart.
NOTE: It is not recommended to keep the above configuration value to TRUE all the time as it generates verbose logs. Keeping the value to TRUE causes the slowness in the TDV Server.
