Windows User Access Control (UAC)
- Make sure that UAC is disabled. It should be set to Never Notify. If UAC is not disabled:
- Set UAC to Never Notify.
- Reboot the server.
- Run a Repair on TIBCO Scribe® Insight by going to the Windows Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs.
- Select Insight and then Remove.
- On the next window choose Repair.
InternalDB.exe Tool
- Locate the Internaldb.exe tool which is stored in the root Scribe installation directory. Typically the directory is ..\Program Files (x86)\Scribe.
- Right-click the Internaldb.exe file and select Run as Administrator.
- Click the Internal Database tab.
- Click Test Connection and confirm that database has been upgraded to the correct version and the test connection is successful. If there are errors:
- Open the Windows ‘Run’ command and enter ‘%temp%’. In the Temp directory, locate and review the Scribe Insight.log and DBSchemaValidator.log files using a text editor to see if anything is missing.
- Make a backup of the Scribe Internal Database (SIDB). Manually run the SQL upgrade scripts located in the Scribe folder ..\Program Files (x86)\Scribe against the Scribe Internal Database. For example, if the upgrade was from 7.8 to 7.9.1, run the corresponding scripts, ScribeInternal_Upgrade_780_to_790.sql and ScribeInternal_Upgrade_790_to_791.sql.
Run Workbench As Administrator
Right-click the Workbench icon and choose the "Run as Administrator" option. You should not have to do this all the time, however, if this is successful it provides more information about possible issues.
