TIBCO Scribe Insight 7.9.2

Description

Issue:  I used the InternalDB utility to change the SCRIBE user password on the Scribe Internal database.  The change was successful on the TIBCO Scribe® Insight server, but the Workstation install no longer connects.  The following error displays when I launch the Workbench:

Failed to initialize the internal database:  Error retrieving the product id from the db

Resolution

The Workstation installation stores the DSN and credentials during the installation process.
When the SCRIBE user password is changed post-installation, you need to uninstall the TIBCO Scribe® Insight Workstation and reinstall the Workstation to store the new credentials:
  1. Uninstall TIBCO Scribe® Insight adapters
  2. Uninstall TIBCO Scribe® Insight.
  3. Delete the ScribeInternal_MS system DSN
  4. Reinstall TIBCO Scribe® Insight - Workstation

Issue/Introduction

After changing the SCRIBE user, the Workbench launches successfully on the Scribe server, but the Workstation install no longer connects.
