In the iProcess Workspace (Windows) Client the group name is displayed including the node name e.g. accounts@staffw_nod1

Is it possible to display the LDAP group Description rather than the LDAP group name?

Issue/Introduction

Process is integrated with LDAP server using ldapconf In the iProcess Workspace (Windows) Client the group name is displayed including the node name e.g. accounts@staffw_nod1 Is it possible to display the LDAP group Description rather than the LDAP group name?

Environment

TIBCO iProcess Engine 11.4.1 and above integrated with LDAP using ldapconf TIBCO iProcess Workspace (Windows) 11.4.1 and above

Resolution

The ldapconf configuration maps an attributes in the LDAP server to the iProcess group description.

The attribute was mapped correctly in ldapconf configuration, but the Description attribute was not set in the group element in the LDAP Server.

The description was not set and the the iProcess Workspace (Windows) Client defaulted to queue@nodename

The resolution is to:

1 LDAP Server: Set the description attributes for all groups (this is the LDAP attributes mapped to the group description in ldapconf

2 iProcess: Run an “ldapconf MOVESYSINFO -full” to update the group description in iProcess

The iProcess Workspace (Windows) Client will now display the Group Description.
