Description

When running Statistica Automated Neural Networks (SANN) Regression node on Statistica V13.3.1 + German Language Pack, Statistica throws an error message: 

"Fehler in Knoten 'SANN Regression':
Error HRESULT E FAIL has been returned from a call to a COM component. 'E_FAIL".

See the error message below:

"E_FAIL" error
The error message appears when changing the Strategy for creating predictive models from Automated Network Search (ANS) to Custom Neural Networks (CNN). See below the options for SANN Regression node :

Environment

Error "E_FAIL" occurs in Statistica V13.3.1 + German Language Pack

Resolution

We have a HotFix that addresses this issue. The HotFix has been tested on Statistica V13.5 + German Language Pack, and now SANN regression node runs without error.

First, upgrade to Statistica V13.5 and install the German Language Pack.

Next, access the HotFix for this issue and install this on Statistica V13.5. To access this HotFix:
  1. Login to TIBCO Customer Support Portal here: https://support.tibco.com/s/
  2. At the top right hand corner, choose 'Downloads' and select 'HotFixes'
  3. Click 'Available Downloads' and navigate to the Statistica folder
The HotFix for this issue is named V135HFS06. When this file is downloaded, instructions on how to apply the HotFix will also be downloaded. See the following image of the HotFix on the TIBCO Customer Support Portal:
