Description
When applying the Access Code that was sent as a part of the TIBCO order, the following message may popup about license expiration. Trying to apply the Access Code may result in a message indicating that the Access Code was already used:
Causes (not an exhaustive list):
A firewall, proxy, or another security application blocked the return (incoming communication) of the new license file.
Poor internet connection
Access Code Process: The Access Code process requires an internet connection as the Statistica application will contact the Statistica registration server to process the Access Code. The license file, stat.lic, along with the Access Code is sent (outgoing communication) and the registration server essentially creates a new license file and sends it back to Statistica (incoming communication). The new license file is applied automatically. Access Codes can only be used one time per machine. If an Access Code fails the first time and the above message appears, applying the Access Code again will fail.
Environment
Windows operating systems only.
Resolution
Contact technical support to check to see if the license records show the Access Code was used. If so, then a license file generated with the Access Code will be included in the records. After verification, the new license file will be sent to you.
