Resolution

Details of all the available Statistica Enterprise user permissions can be found here:  https://support.tibco.com/s/article/Statistica-Enterprise-User-Names-and-User-Permissions

1) First, the user needs to be added as a Statistica Enterprise User.
This can be done through Enterprise Manager "User Administration > Users > New User / Import User"

The user added is automatically a member of Enterprise "Everyone" user group.
The "Everyone" user group has below user permissions by default:
  • Everyone – Dashboard User (DUSR), Data Entry (DE), User (USR)
2) To be able to access the Statistica Spreadsheet object stored in Enterprise, the user or the user group that the user is a member of, needs to be added to the "Access Permissions" of this particular Spreadsheet Enterprise object.
"View" is to be able to open and view the spreadsheet.
"Edit" is to be able to edit the content of the spreadsheet.

3) At this stage, the user being a member of "Everyone" group, is only able to open the Spreadsheet object from Statistica menu "Enterprise > Open from Enterprise > Document".

However, the menu "Enterprise Manager" is inactive and inaccessible for this user.

4) In order for the user to be able to access the "Enterprise Manager" UI and view the Spreadsheet object, besides being part of the "Everyone" user group, the user needs to be further assigned additional Admin permissions:  Analysis Admin (AADM) or Data Admin (DADM).

Either of "Analysis Admin" and "Data Admin" would entitle the user access to Enterprise Manager Interface and view the Spreadsheet object for which the user has "Access Permissions".

The user group " Engineer" by default has Analysis Admin (AADM), and Data Admin (DADM) permissions:
  • Engineer − Analysis Admin (AADM), Data Admin (DADM), Report Admin (RADM), User (USR), Web User (WUSR), Web Viewer (WVWR)
You can further assign the user to be part of "Engineer" group Or add just one additional Admin permission (Data Admin or Analysis Admin), in order to access Enterprise Manager UI and the Enterprise spreadsheet object.
