Statistica versions up to 14.0.1 only integrate with R versions up to R 3.6.x

Users may frequently run into a scenario where R 4.x is installed for other analysis but also have an older version of R (3.6.3 for instance) that may need to be used for the integration with Statistica. This article details how Statistica can be integrated with an older version of R even with a newer R version installed on the same machine. 

PRE-REQUISITES:
1. Versions of R installed and the Installation Path for R
2. Administrator privileges on the machine
3. Statistica Installation
 

Issue/Introduction

How to integrate Statistica with an older version of R even though a newer version of R is also installed ?

Resolution


1. Launch RegEdit on the machine where Statistica and the two versions of R are installed. 
2. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>>SOFTWARE>>R-core>>R
3. Change the Current Version to the version of R that you would like for Statistica to integrate with and update the Install Path to the version of R that you would like Statistica to integrate with (Copy from the respective R subfolders if required)  :

4. Launch Statistica post making this change - If R integration is already enabled, Statistica will pick on the above change and display the integration with R 3.6.3 (or older version of R of choice) . Click on Tools >>R Integration to verify

5. Optionally, navigate to Open>>Open Examples>>R >>Standalone and Run Macro to verify integration with R.
