Retirement Notice Revised - April 18, 2024: Hotfix eligibility criteria has been updated

TIBCO EBX 5.9 is an all-in-one, model-driven, agile and multi-domain solution to manage, govern, and consume shared data assets.

The EBX 5.9 platform currently has no end of support date and will continue to be maintained in parallel with the EBX 6.x platform. EBX Add-on versions 4.5.19 and higher that are compatible with version 5.9. will continue to be supported.  

Because this version (5.9.24) of EBX 5.9 family includes security updates and support for current platforms, all prior service pack releases in 5.9 family (i.e 5.9.23 and earlier), will be retired on June 30, 2024 as previously announced in notice 00046232. We may announce end of support for older versions of 5.9 if and when any future updates are made on top of the 5.9.24 or the later versions.

Q. Since there are EBX 6.x releases also available, will you stop releasing EBX 5.x releases?

Answer: The EBX 5.9 platform will continue to be maintained in parallel with EBX 6.x.

Q. Should I upgrade to EBX 5.9.24 or later versions?

Answer: We highly recommend upgrading to the latest available service pack in 5.9 version family as it has all the latest fixes and/or security updates.

Q. Do you release any additional hotfixes or security fixes on top of 5.9.24?

Answer: Hotfixes and Service Packs will be provided for high severity issues on top of the latest service pack release available in the 5.9 version family

Q. Do you offer extended support for versions 5.9.23 and previous versions?

Answer: For up-to-date information on which EBX 5.9 versions are eligible for extended support, please refer to the end-of-support query interface on the TIBCO Support Portal (https://support.tibco.com/s/end-of-support).
