TIBCO LogLogic Log Management Intelligence | all versions |
There are two ways to have log sources' IP resolved back to a hostname using DNS. Each log source has a DNS refresh setting to control this on an individual log source level. There is also a global setting to control this on the System Settings page. These 2 methods can also be combined. For example, you can have the global setting set to On or Off and then have the individual device level setting configured with the opposite value. In this manner you can set exceptions in either direction to the global setting. The global setting is utilized in a scheduled job that executes every day during the nightly maintenance cycle (default at 2am).
