Description
When uninstalling Statistica, the following error pops-up.
Cause: The statinstinfo.xml if missing or corrupt.
Issue/Introduction
Error: "Could not load STATISTICA installer information from : C:\Program Files\StatSoft\STATISTICA\statinstinfo.xml"
Environment
Windows operating systems only.
Resolution
VERSION 13.0 AND ABOVE
The installer should complete the uninstall after the clicking OK on the error message. To check this, open Control Panel | Programs and Features to see if Statistica is listed as an installed program. If it is still listed as installed, please follow the steps below.
VERSIONS OLDER THAN 13.0
1. Double-click on 'setup.exe' in the installation folder (either on the Install64 or Install32 installer folder)
2. A dialog will appear with the following options: 'Modify', 'Repair', or 'Remove'
3. Click 'Remove' and then click 'Next' to complete the un-installation
