Creating a graph Styles
1) Open Graph Options Dialog Box:
- Navigate to the Graph Options dialog box. This can usually be accessed by double-clicking or right-clicking on the graph.
2) Customize Graph Settings:
- Make the desired changes to the graph’s appearance. This includes settings like line colors, patterns, sizes, fonts, and other graphical elements.
- For example, you might change the color and pattern of lines, adjust the font size of titles, or modify the background color of the graph.
3) Save Custom Settings as a New Style:
- Once you have customized the graph settings as per your requirement, save these settings as a new style.
- Look for the "Style" option within the customize graph box. Right-click on the styles drop-down to get the pop-up menu. Now to save the new style enter a name for your new style and confirm.
Applying the Graph Style to a New Graph
1) Open a New Graph or Existing Graph:
- Create a new graph or open an existing graph that you want to apply the style to.
2) Access the Graph Styles:
- Go to the customize graph style dialog box for the graph where you want to apply the style.
3) Select the Custom Style:
- In the Customize graph tab, navigate to the section where you can choose or apply a style.
- From the list of available styles, select the custom style you previously created.
4) Apply the Style:
- Apply the selected style to the graph twice. This will update the graph with the formatting and settings defined in the custom style.
5) Save the Graph:
- Save your graph to retain the changes made by applying the style.
Additional Tips
Modifying Styles: If you need to modify an existing style, you can usually do this from the Graph Options dialog box by selecting the style and making the necessary changes. Save the modifications under the same or a new style name.
Exporting and Importing Styles: You can export and import styles by using a graph itself as the carrier of the style or via the Configurations options.
Applying Styles to Multiple Graphs: You can apply a style to multiple graphs at once, including graphs in a workbook or multiple open graph windows.
