When installing Spotfire Analyst one may encounter lot of *.cab warnings and the installation may not succeed.

This file was blocked because it does not have a valid digital signature that verifies its publisher. What is a digital signature?

All Supported Windows Operating systems

You may try adjusting the Windows security settings below to resolve the issue:

1. Open Control Panel and select Internet Options.

2. Navigate to the Advanced tab.

3. Scroll down to the Security section.

4. Locate the option “Allow software to run or install even if the signature is invalid” and ensure it is checked. (If it is already checked, toggle it: Remove the check mark and click OK to save it. Start again at step one. When you reach step four, put a check mark on it again.)

5. Click Apply, then OK to save the changes.

6. After updating the setting, please try running the Spotfire Analyst again.

NOTE:
The Internet settings may be grayed out depending on the group policies. In such cases, contact the local IT Team/Windows Administrator.

NOTE:
Issues like these have been noticed in the past where Internet connection is disabled on Workstations/Windows severs. This leads to scenarios where-in the Windows Updates have not been run and the Windows certificates store is not up to date.
