There are several resolution options available:
NOTE: If .NET Framework 4.8 is installed, only Options 1 and 3 below are available. The hot fix referenced in Option 2 will not resolve the error when .NET Framework 4.8 is installed.
- Insight 7.9.5 includes a fix for this issue. If you are enrolled in maintenance, you can upgrade to 7.9.5.
- Apply the Insight 7.9.2 hotfix. Note that this hot fix is for Insight 7.9.2 only.
- Rollback/Uninstall the Windows Update that included install of .NET Framework 4.7 or NET Framework 4.6 components (if possible). In some cases, customers reverted to .NET Framework 4.5 to resolve this error.
Option 1: Upgrade to Insight 7.9.5.
- The hot fix is only compatible with Insight 7.9.2. If you are using an earlier version of TIBCO Scribe® Insight, you will need to upgrade to 7.9.5 which includes this hot fix. Be sure to read the software release notes to understand the requirements before installing.
- Ensure that TIBCO Scribe® Insight maintenance is current prior to upgrading. To successfully register your upgraded Insight server, the license must be current on a maintenance plan. Contact your TIBCO sales representative to purchase or confirm maintenance is current.
Option 2: Install the TIBCO Scribe® Insight hot fix.
- The 7.9.2_HF10_D46861 hot fix can be downloaded from the support site and is only compatible with Insight 7.9.2. Instructions for where to find the download can be found in this article: TIBCO Scribe® Insight 7.9.2 hotfix 10 is now available
- There is a PDF in the zip file that includes the instructions for how to install the hot fix.
Option 3: Uninstall/Rollback the Windows Update that included install of .NET Framework 4.7 or NET Framework 4.6 components.
- Reference: Microsoft description of KB3186539
- Windows Update included install of .NET Framework 4.7 and 4.6 components, and Insight v7.9.2 and prior versions do not support this version of .NET Framework. Follow the following steps to uninstall the Windows update:
Open the Windows Control Panel
Select “View installed updates”
Select the appropriate update version from the list below
Select “Uninstall”
Reboot the server
- If you continue to experience the QueryBuilderForm error, you may need to rollback to .NET Framework 4.5.
