How to troubleshoot when the error message below shows up:

Pooled licensing message

Note:  For network installs only.  


Causes:   

Issue/Introduction

CNET message, "Statistica could not check out a license from the available license pool."

Environment

Windows operating systems only.

Resolution

To check to see if the number of available licenses has been used up, check either:

1)  The Concurrent License Manager.  It may be available on the client and is installed by default on the license server.  See What is the Statistica Concurrent License Manager

or 

2)  Check the lmgrd.log, the license manager log file.  Location of the file in the FLEXlm folder (<server drive>:\Program Files (x86)\Statistica\FLEXlm).  If the maximum number of licenses has been reached, the following will show in the log file:

To resolve:

  • Have a user save their work and log out of Statistica.  This will free up a user license. 
  • If additional named users are needed, email renewals@tibco.com to request a quote for more named users.
