Description

When working with the Microsoft Dynamics GP Connector. You may receive errors related to "The Request Channel Timed out" when running a job, or when testing the connection.

These errors may be similar but not limited to the below examples. 

  • "The request channel timed out while waiting for a reply after 00:09:59.5937478. Increase the timeout value passed to the call to Request or increase the SendTimeout value on the Binding. The time allotted to this operation may have been a portion of a longer timeout."
  • Any other message concerning the GP connection relating to "Channel Time Out"

Resolution

These errors could be an indication of something that went wrong on the Dynamics GP side. A quick step to try and resolve the issue is to try and restart the "Microsoft Dynamics GP Service Host" Windows Service on the GP server or client.
