How to resolve "Can't find license file" when trying to run the Statistica Portable for version 14 ?

Windows operating systems only.

Statistica 14 Portable is a version of Statistica that is required to upgrade to Statistica 14 from a prior version of Statistica. Ensure that Statistica 14 portable is running on a machine that has an existing prior version of Statistica installed. If the installation is missing a license file, place the license file in one of the below directories:

1. [Statistica License Installation directory] \FlexLM folder or
2 . Unzipped folder of the Statistica Portable.

Refer to the articles in the reference section for assistance with finding this file. 

Relaunch Statist.exe to run the Statistica 14 portable. 

Note:  For installations that have just SDMS on a dedicated server, the Statistica client will need to be installed. For installations that have SDMS and only the Statistica Licensing Service on a dedicated server, the Statistica license service will have to be un-installed and then Statistica Server/Enterprise with the license service will have to be re-installed.
