1. Create a database connection to where the data resides (if one doesn't exist already). For the purpose of this example, we use a Statistica OLEDB connection to the examples datasets that typically are available with the installation:
2. Create a data configuration that pulls the data with the counts. This example uses the p-chart table/p-chart data set that is usually in the example datasets with Statistica installation.
3. Set the field with counts to be of Target type "Attribute Characteristic or an Aggregate attribute characteristic" depending on if the data is aggregated or not.
4.If a field/variable has details of the sample size , set its target type to be sample size and associate with the attribute characteristic. Define access permissions for the data configuration and commit the change.
5. Right click on the data configuration and choose "New analysis configuration off this data". Name the analysis appropriately. Expand the SPC characteristics and set the Chart type to be "P" .
6. Review Analysis options such as Output, Alarm , Labelling, Specifications and configure as required and commit the change. Define access permissions and commit the change.
7. Run the analysis to view the p-chart in Statistica
