TIBCO product documentation lists the platforms that are supported when a product version is released. See https://docs.tibco.com/ for more information. Support cases will be accepted for all documented supported platforms, according to TIBCO version support policies (see End of Support Information for TIBCO Products - https://support.tibco.com/s/article/Tibco-KnowledgeArticle-RetirementNotice-40036).

Over time, TIBCO’s ability to support some platforms (operating systems / hardware) will be limited due to certain circumstances, for example:
  • the platform is no longer supported by the vendor
  • the platform is no longer available to purchase
  • the platform has no / minimal use
  • the platform is no longer strategic to the direction of the product
When cases are logged against platforms with limited support, our investigation will be subject to certain limitations, which are detailed below.

Platform Support Policy for TIBCO Products

Environment

Solaris, HP-UX Itanium, AIX, Windows 8.x, Windows Server 2012, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, SUSE Linux

Resolution

Limited Platform Support Includes:

  • The ability to submit Cases for eligible product versions, regardless of platform.
  • TIBCO assistance providing workarounds and available fixes for issues reported.

Limited Platform Support Excludes:

  • Investigation of platform specific issues and staging issues on the retired platforms (e.g: analyzing core dumps)
  • Enhancements, service packs, or defect corrections
  • Back porting of any fixes (including, but not limited to, defect corrections or security fixes) from later product versions
The end of support dates and end of extended support dates published in TIBCO’s Version Support Policy (https://www.tibco.com/resources/datasheet/tibco-support-guide) remain unchanged. The scope and terms of support provided will be subject to the above limitations in addition to the terms of support or extended support.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. If the platform I’m using is listed above, does this mean I need to migrate to another platform?
Yes. Customers running the listed TIBCO products on any of the platform versions with limitations are advised to migrate to a supported platform, in order to avoid these Support limitations. Customers who continue to use these platforms should be aware of the limitations that will apply to the support provided.

Q. What if I need a hotfix on a platform with limitations?
Unfortunately, we are not able to provide new hotfixes on the Platforms with Support Limitations. Any new hotfixes provided for a product version will be for the supported platforms without these limitations. Previously delivered hotfixes on Support platforms with limitations will continue to be available from the TIBCO Support Portal.

Q. Is extended support available for a product version, if I’m using a platform with Support limitations?
Yes. Extended support If a customer purchases extended support for a product version and is using a platform with Support limitations, extended support can be provided, but the limitations of Extended Support, as well as the Platform Support limitations will apply to any Support provided for that product version.
