Description
Three major changes were made to TIBCO Statistica 14.1 licensing model. What are they?

First Major Change
a. Statistica License Manager service
The Statistica License Manager service (FLEXlm), along with the Concurrent License Manager application, and the Licensing folder have been removed (this includes the license file, stat.lic). CNET and Enterprise-type installations included the aforementioned components in V14.0.x but are removed in V14.1. Also, the Statistica application is no longer controlled with a license file or a license manager service in any of the installation types:
Since the components above have been removed, the lmgrd.log file is also no longer available. This file may have been used to track user login/logout activity but this is no longer possible with CNET-type, non-Enterprise, installations. b. License file (stat.lic)
License files are no longer used for any installation type. The features available are embedded in the application itself.
Second Major Change
During the installation, there is no longer a dialog with the option to register Statistica automatically or manually for the license file. Registration is no longer necessary since TIBCO Statistica 14.1 doesn't use a license file. Third Major Change
The Session Viewer was added to Statistica Enterprise/Statistica Server installs only, known as the Statistica Enterprise Session Viewer. The Session Viewer shows active user sessions with additional session details. To access the viewer open Statistica Enterprise Manager>>Tools>>Session Viewer:
Note that only Statistica users who have administrative permissions can access the Session Viewer.

What hasn't changed

- Statistica Enterprise/Statistica Server (includes Data Entry Server, Monitoring and Alerting Server (MAS), and Live Score Server add-ons). The license file name format is: stat_Concurrent TIBCO Statistica XXX (with all server products).lic Please note the enterprise installs use the same license manager service as the CNET installs.

What hasn't changed
- Installation keys are still necessary to install TIBCO Statistica V14.1. The installation keys determine what features are enabled and installed. The installation keys are provided in the LICENSING README.pdf, located in the TIB_stat_licensing.zip file at https://www.spotfire.com/downloads/ For questions about what installation keys to use, please contact your account manager.

Issue/Introduction
In Statistica 14.1, the licensing service, FLEXlm, has been removed, which was used in concurrent (CNET) and enterprise installation types. The Session Viewer replaces the Concurrent License Manager in Statistica Enterprise only as CNETs do not have this feature.
