How to resolve Statistica registration errors? Below is an example of a registration error:

General registration error

Resolution

Important Note:  This solutions below does not apply to trial or academic registrations. Trials require a validation email to be acknowledged during the installation before registration will complete, then the install will continue and complete.   Academic registration must be completed automatically during the installation as well, however, no validation email is required.  The most frequent issues with registration is a security block on the machine where Statistica is installed.  To resolve this, try the steps here.  For unresolved trial or academic registration issues, please contact TIBCO Support (see phone numbers above).


SOLUTION ONE

Automatic registration for the full Statistica license file requires an internet connection without the use of a proxy server.  Also, sometimes software security causes a block from incoming communication with the license server.   For registration on machines with high security or for machines that do not connect to the internet, please use the manual registration process here.  


SOLUTION TWO

For registration issues that are not resolved by solution one, above, AND where the serial number used to install is like the following, JPZxxxxxxxxxxARCN25ACD-x, then perform the following steps:

1.    Open the StatSoftRegistration.txt file, located either in the Statistica <version> application folder (typical location is C:\Program Files\Statistica <version #>\ or C:\Program Files (x86)\Statistica\FLEXlm\)
2.   Delete the DPLC and DPLD feature lines from the temporary license file in the StatSoftRegistration.txt file (use Notepad++ or EmEditor):

3.  Save to a new file, rename it StatSoftRegtistration.txt file. Replace the original StatSoftRegistration.txt file with the new, modified, one. Then either automatically register or manually register.  See the steps to manually register here
